Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the van rental services provided by Tigertail Enterprises LLC, doing business as Tigertail Rentals ("Tigertail," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking a rental, using our website, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services Description

Tigertail Rentals provides mobile van rental services exclusively in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties in Florida. Our services include:

  • Delivery of passenger vans (15-passenger Ford Transit vehicles) to your specified location
  • Pickup of vehicles at the end of the rental period
  • Customer support throughout the rental period

Important: We operate a mobile-only service. There is no public walk-in office or retail location. All rentals must be pre-arranged.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Tigertail Rentals, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • Be at least 25 years of age
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Maintain full-coverage auto insurance that extends to rental vehicles
  • Provide a valid credit card for security deposit and payment
  • Be located within our tri-county service area (Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach)

We reserve the right to verify your eligibility and may request documentation including a driver's license, insurance card, and credit card information.

4. Reservations and Bookings

4.1 Making a Reservation

You may request a reservation by contacting us via phone, email, or through our website contact form. A reservation is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from Tigertail Rentals.

4.2 Pricing and Payment

Rental rates are based on:

  • Daily, weekly, or custom rental period pricing
  • Vehicle tier (Standard or Premium)
  • A delivery fee calculated as: $15 base + $2.00 per mile (one-way) from our dispatch location

Payment is due in full at the time of vehicle delivery. We accept major credit cards. A security deposit may be required and will be authorized on your credit card.

4.3 Security Deposit

We may place a temporary hold on your credit card as a security deposit. This hold will be released within 7-10 business days after the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition, subject to any deductions for damages, late fees, or other charges.

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

5.1 Permitted Use

Our vehicles may be used for lawful passenger transportation purposes only. Permitted uses include family trips, business travel, church groups, events, and airport transfers.

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use the vehicle for:

  • Commercial rideshare or taxi services (Uber, Lyft, etc.)
  • Racing, speed contests, or off-road driving
  • Towing or pushing other vehicles
  • Transporting hazardous materials
  • Illegal activities or purposes
  • Subletting or re-renting to others
  • Travel outside of Florida without prior written consent

5.3 Driver Requirements

Only drivers listed on the rental agreement and who meet our eligibility requirements may operate the vehicle. Unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of the rental and forfeiture of all fees.

6. Insurance

You must maintain full-coverage auto insurance that extends to rental vehicles. Your insurance is primary and will cover any damages, accidents, or liability during the rental period.

We do not provide insurance coverage. You are responsible for verifying that your insurance policy covers rental vehicles, including 15-passenger vans. We may request proof of insurance before confirming your rental.

7. Mileage Policy

Standard rentals include reasonable daily mileage. Excessive mileage may result in additional charges. Specific mileage terms will be outlined in your rental agreement. See our Mileage Policy for details.

8. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank of gas. You must return the vehicle with a full tank, or a refueling fee will be charged at current market rates plus an administrative fee.

9. Vehicle Condition and Damage Responsibility

9.1 Pre-Rental Inspection

At delivery, we will conduct a walk-around inspection with you to document the vehicle's condition. You are responsible for noting any existing damage at this time.

9.2 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period, including:

  • Body damage, scratches, dents
  • Interior damage or stains
  • Tire damage
  • Windshield or glass damage
  • Mechanical damage due to misuse

10. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing (email or text) to be valid. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 72 hours before pickup: Full refund minus processing fee
  • 48-72 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours before pickup: No refund

11. Late Returns and Extensions

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed-upon date and time. Late returns are subject to additional daily rental charges plus a late fee. If you need to extend your rental, contact us as soon as possible – extensions are subject to vehicle availability.

Failure to return the vehicle may result in charges for theft or unauthorized use, and we may report the vehicle as stolen to law enforcement.

12. Accidents, Breakdowns, and Roadside Assistance

In the event of an accident, breakdown, or mechanical issue:

  • Contact us immediately at (954) 703-9214
  • Do not attempt unauthorized repairs
  • In case of an accident, contact local authorities and file a police report
  • Document the scene with photos if safe to do so
  • Obtain contact and insurance information from other parties involved

We will arrange for roadside assistance or a replacement vehicle when possible, subject to availability.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tigertail Rentals is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or vehicles. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for your rental.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tigertail Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the vehicle, violations of these Terms, or violation of any law or regulation.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Broward County, Florida, or through the courts of Broward County if arbitration is not applicable.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any rental agreement you sign and our other policies (Privacy Policy, Rental Agreement, Insurance Requirements, etc.), constitute the entire agreement between you and Tigertail Rentals regarding your use of our services.

By booking a rental with Tigertail Rentals, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
